Could we put a message/tooltip/popup in the "?action=upload" dialog:
"If using linux you must set your username as owner of the file
using the 'chown' command. File permissions must be set to 0755
using the 'chmod' command."

This is not true, any of these numeric permissions below will do. Obviously, you can put whatever message you want on your own wikis in Site.UploadQuickReference. --Petko

I cannot upload file hrStyle.phpΔ
I need to replace this file with a new version
that adds class and id and fixes a bug. Allowing class
will make is so that an external CSS file could be used
instead of inline.
The error message is:
: no upload data, file may be larger than post_max_size, upload_max_filesize
The file is 1.4k which is not very big. Can we please fix this so I can
upgrade the recipe?

I fixed it. The problem is I must remember to set the file permissions
so I am the owner, and not just the group. when I did that with 'chown' I was
able to upload the file. I feel foolish, but also the error message was not very
helpful.

I added a nice little 1.1.kb image of some colorful <hr/>.
The page code was: "Attach:hrStyle.png"
Before I could uploaded the image, the page displayed: "Attach:Attach:hrStyle.png Δ"
I was able to upload the file, but am puzzled why it initially displayed as "Attach:Attach:hrStyle.png Δ".

We had the recipe AttachLinks installed which removes the Attach prefix for existing uploads, but re-adds it for pending ones. Something in the core changed at some point and the pending link text didn't lose its prefix, so 2 prefixes appeared. I now added $EnableHideAttachPrefix to the core and the recipe could be considered obsolete. --Petko
