text with acent (á é ú ) don't work fine :-( exemple here It was bad encoding (I used iso-8859-1). I change all in wiki to utf8 and now all works fine! SergioLima May, 2014
I installed and tested pmwiki, wikiserver, and wikipublisher and use the whole installation locally/offline; pdf creation works, epub creation either fails with „error converting … > stopping” on some pages or displays the ebook html page with „error: exceeded the 30 second time limit in pmwiki.php line 1675” at the end. What do I need to do to make it work? I couldn't find out where this limit is set, or I would have changed it to, say, 60… (ReKuli, 10Feb2015)
You can see how to change the system limits at the page SystemLimits. --Petko February 16, 2015, at 01:34 AM
Thank you for this info; it didn't exactly work out, though. I set the limit to 120s, and although I don't get the ebook page shown with the error at the end anymore, the execution ends with "HandlePublish(e)Book: error converting uploads/PmWiki/PmWiki.DocumentationIndex.html > stopping". The same with small trail-less pages where I added (:epub:) to an embedded trail. The uploads area is currently world-writeable, so it cannot fail due to access rights. Might this have something to do with the ebook handling, being stated as „still beta”, depending on more recent (or plug-in) lib functions than the rest of the pmwikipublisher system? I am asking this because everything else works exactly „as advertized”. (ReKuli, 17Feb2015)
EDIT: I found out what went wrong: the German language files were responsible. After I removed them for testing, everything worked as it ought to do. Question: I needed not only to change their content-type in their headers, but to convert the whole files from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8. Why do you people still use ISO-8859-1 when UTF-8 has been the standard for almost a decade now, and at the same time use code that assumes everything is UTF-8? Isn't that sort of inconsistent?
