Description: When the page uses a different background color (e.g.shade of grey) the guiedit buttons have an ugly white border. This border should be transparent.

Feel free to send me corrected guiedit buttons. :-) --Pm

Here you are: Attach:guiedit_transparent.zip Klonk :-)

This issue has been around for quite a while, anyone have an issue with changing the default buttons to the transparent set here...? --Pm

No, just include the transparent ones Klonk :-). I'm pretty sure most users won't even notice it.

I'm with this option Isidor

It's better + I cannot see a disadvantage.
In case it breaks someones graphics, the old set can be used.
And if it breaks the design, this particular admin will know how to replace it. scoid?

A different idea is to address the old and the button set differently from config.php (like choosing the skin), to encourage the graphic designers for alternative button sets.scoid?

It's already possible to specify alternate button sets using $GUIButtonDirUrlFmt. Skin designers can place button images into the pub/skins/ directory and then set

    $GUIButtonDirUrlFmt = '$SkinDirUrl';
