01056: LDAP Authentication doesn't work with french accented characters
Summary: LDAP Authentication doesn't work with french accented characters

OS: Debian etch, Apache/2.2.3 (Debian) PHP/5.2.0-8+etch13
Description: Hi, when you try to login with a password containing accented characters, the authentication failed, while the password is good.
We tried it with the simple example (in order to test if you don't have any accent on your keyboard :) :
1azerty"รน <= doesn't work
1azerty"u <= works fine
I quickly parsed php files but didn't see any characters map or password related to patch it :-/
Thank you for your feedback.
For information, there is RFC 4518 : LDAP i18n strings +[1]. I suspect this would work on wikis with UTF-8 enabled, although I have no way to test LDAP at all. --Petko October 03, 2009, at 07:17 AM
