Description: Add the already available and demonstrated (pagelist fmt=authtable) markup to the core distribution.

This allows to check which pages have a password protection and is an excellent tool for the wiki administrator.

I'm thinking perhaps the distribution also needs a Site.AuthList page that is already configured to display the list of pages...?

Should fmt=authtable require admin privileges by default (configurable by site administrator)?

I like the Site.AuthList addition.

It seems like this should be implemented with the new pagelist functionality. What would be needed are a few more PageVariables, such as: AuthRead, AuthEdit, AuthAttr, AuthUpload.

Agree to the Site.AuthList addition.

BTW: Is generality ensured to account for possible future new actions / permission levels?

Would it work with an alternative authorization module (like UserAuth2) as well? (If done via RetrieveAuthPage calls, then there should be no problem.)

I support this being in the core with Admin protection by default.
