Another possibility, with buttons on top as well as below the edit textarea but the textarea should be 100% wide, instead of a fixed character width:
!!Editing {$FullName} (:ef message:) Author: (:ef author:) (:ef savebutton:) (:ef previewbutton:) (:ef cancelbutton:)\\ (:ef minorcheckbox:) This is a minor edit (:ef keepeditingcheckbox:) Continue editing after save\\ (:ef guibuttons:)\\ (:ef textarea:)\\ Summary: (:ef changesummary:)\\ (:ef savebutton:) (:ef previewbutton:) (:ef cancelbutton:) (:include PmWiki.EditQuickReference:) |
Editing Test.EditForm4(:ef message:)
Author: (:ef author:)
(:ef savebutton:) (:ef previewbutton:) (:ef cancelbutton:) |
Here is a variation on this theme. I moved the top save, preview, and cancel buttons to the same line as the gui buttons. I also moved the author box and the checkboxes to the bottom. My basic rationale is that the checkboxes and the author field will automatically be filled by cookies (after the information is entered for the first time). That being the case, it is not the end of the world to put them at the bottom, out of the way.
