[pmwiki-users] filtering page name

Hello,

I posted on fr list but moderation stop my message.

I really need to filter specials chars in page names. Web host says no 
for specials chars in urls (It is Online.net, the same as free.fr). So, 
when a user create a page with "é" or the like, Pmwiki can work fine or 
can not work. Idem with Fox Forum, if a title of a topic have a special 
char.

Is it possible to filter automagically thoses chars in a string for 
pages names ? For example, a link [[évènement]] must create a page named 
"Evenement". The same for [[événement]] or [[Evènement]]...
