[pmwiki-users] define sidewide style in skins.php

I try to get the custom style
      %define=hl{$Group} class=selfgroup%

into skins.php like this:

       $WikiStyle['hl{$Group}']['class'] = 'selfgroup';

this dont work, does someone see whats wrong here?

about the style:
if attached to a link

%hlSomeGroupe%SomeGroupe.HomePage

the link gets higlighted as long the user is navigating in the current group
