How to set a marker on the map
To add a pin, use google maps, find your location, zoom and center the map.
- Click on "Link" or "Link to this page", and then copy the link under "Paste link in email or IM".
- If you now do a paste you'll see something like:
http://www.google.com/maps?q=paris&ll=48.8642,2.3510&spn=0.225,0.673&z=11
- The bit you want is
ll=48.8642,2.3510
- Use these numbers as your GMap: link
: GMap:ll=48.8642,2.3510 : Your name and/or link to your site.
- Press "Preview" instead of Save to preview your location. You can zoom in.
If the pin is not on the desired position, drag it with your mouse, and a tooltip with the new location will appear. You can then replace it in the wiki page.
- If you are a developer able to provide paid PmWiki support, please use a colored pin like this:
: GMap:ll=48.8642,2.3510&icolor=0f0 : Your name and/or link to your site.
The &icolor=0f0 attribute sets a light-green pin color.
